Brie Larson

Brie Larson (født Brianne Sidonie Desaulniers; 1. oktober 1989) er en amerikansk skuespiller og musiker. Larson fikk hjemmeundervisning før hun begynte å studere skuespill ved American Conservatory Theater. Hun begynte skuespillerkarrièren på fjernsyn og fikk etter hvert en fast rolle i situasjonskomedien Raising Dad. Larson ble nominert til en Young Artist Award for denne rolletolkningen.

Utover 2000-årene fikk hun filmroller i 13 snart 30 og Sleepover. Hun fikk god kritikk for rolleskildringen i Hoot (2006) og spilte biroller i filmene Greenberg (2010), Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010) og 21 Jump Street (2012). Fra 2009 til 2011 hadde Larson rollen som en opprørsk tenåring i TV-serien United States of Tara.

Larsons gjennombrudd kom med hovedrollen i den uavhengige dramafilmen Short Term 12 (2013). I 2015 spilte hun hovedrollen som kidnappingsofferet Ma i dramafilmen Room, som var basert på Emma Donoghues roman Rom. Larson vant flere bransjepriser for rolletolkningen, blant annet en British Academy Film Award, en Critics' Choice Movie Award, en Golden Globe, en Screen Actors Guild Award og Oscar for beste kvinnelige hovedrolle.

En av hennes største roller var i Marvel Studios' film Captain Marvel, der hun spiller hovedrollen Captain Marvel.
