Sofía Vergara

Sofía Margarita Vergara Vergara (født 1972) er en colombiansk skuespiller, TV-vert og modell.

Vergara ble kjent for å lede to TV-serier for det spanskspråklige TV-nettverket Univisión på slutten av 1990-tallet. Hennes første større skuespillerjobb på engelsk var i filmen Chasing Papi fra 2003. Hun har senere opptrådt i Four Brothers (2005) og to Tyler Perry-filmer, Meet the Browns (2008) og Madea Goes to Jail (2009). Hun ble nominert til en ALMA Award for sistnevnte film. Vergaras suksess på TV har ført med seg flere roller i nyere filmer, Smurfene (2011), New Year's Eve (2011), Happy Feet Two (2011) The Three Stooges (2012), Escape From Planet Earth (2013) og Machete Kills (2013). I 2012 og 2013 var hun den skuespilleren på amerikansk TV som hadde høyest inntekt.

Vergara innehar nå rollen som Gloria Delgado-Pritchett i ABC-serien Modern Family. For denne innsatsen har hun blitt nominert til fire Golden Globe Awards, fire Primetime Emmy Awards og sju Screen Actors Guild Awards for. i 2020 dukket hun opp som ny dommer i sesong 15 av America's Got Talent.
