The Houston-based computer maker said the suggested retail price of its LTE/286 model 40 had been reduced to $4,799, from $4,999, and its LTE/286 model 20 cut to $3,999, from $4,499.

LEAD: The Kinark Corporation, a chemical and metals company, said it had received a buyout offer of $7 a share from Steel Partners L.P. The bid is subject to the arrangement of financing and other conditions. LEAD: The Georgia-Pacific Corporation said that in the wake of its recent acquisition of the Great Northern Nekoosa Corporation, it was exploring the sale of some assets that might not fit its long-term strategy.
